J CHRISTIAN BAKER IIIis a Managing Director, and founding partner of Abshier Webb & Donnelly. Mr. Baker co-founded TriCap Partners, L.L.C., a private merchant banking firm, in 1996 and Baker Kreft Securities, L.L.C., a NASD member private investment banking firm as an affiliate to TriCap Partners, L.L.C., in 1997. Prior to 1996, Mr. Baker held senior investment banking positions with Morgan Keegan, Stephens, E.F. Hutton and Underwood, Neuhaus. Mr. Baker's investment banking experience includes taxable and tax-exempt fixed and variable-rate securities, asset securitization, project financing, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, derivatives, and private equity and venture capital financings. Mr. Baker has worked on transactions throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, and Kazakhstan, and is currently working on several transactions in Central and South America. Before entering the investment banking industry in 1977, Mr. Baker was a management consultant with Deloitte Touche and worked on a myriad of consulting engagements with financial services companies, industrial conglomerates, national grocery/drug store chains, national breweries, and state governments. Prior to his management consulting experience, Mr. Baker was an acquisition analyst with Texas Commerce Bank, assisting in the acquisition of commercial banks located in Texas. Mr. Baker graduated with a BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970. Mr. Baker also holds licenses with the NASD including being a Registered Securities Principal |
